There are some new arrivals and exciting plans ahead for Lucy, we have caught up with her to find out more
I’d like to introduce a new ride for me, his name is Lover boy Tiesto aka Toto. He is 8 yrs old (Totilas) and when I was approached by his owner Mark Johns to see if I would be interested in beginning his competitive career I jumped at the chance! He has allowed me to keep him as my own enabling me to officially co own Toto with him which is just so exciting. I am so grateful to Mark for believing in us to produce a horse of his calibre. We are taking it slowly as he’s a big boy and not been in much work so slowly building him back up and I can’t wait to untap all his potential.
Zocalo aka Cola who is owned by Sue Chant continues to improve no end! We have qualified for the summer Regionals at Elementary at the end of July and we have just begun our winter qualifying. I hope to do our first medium together in August which is very exciting as we never dreamed he would get this far.
In the new year I made the hard decision to sell Yogi my 8 yr old to Switzerland as I felt he wasn’t going to be hot enough for Grand Prix and I knew someone would have a lot of fun on him. We are now on the look out for a new young gun with the help of my long term friend and mentor Tiggy out in Switzerland and hopefully we will have another new addition in the next month or so.
In May we welcomed a gorgeous filly by Va Bene. She is absolutely beautiful and a feisty young lady, just like her mum. I can’t wait to see how she develops.
I am so grateful to Burlybed for their support and being part of Team Burly. All the horses are kept on Burlybed Original Extra and I have been using it for a long time now, it really has been fantastic, the best best bedding for absorbency and mucking out and they always stay fresh and dry.
Lucy will be back in a few months for her next update and we will find out how Toto is getting on!
